AI for independent law firms

Run your firm
with AI.

We set your firm up to use AI properly, from client emails that sound like you to your website and social media, then teach your team to run it themselves.

Set up with you. Run by your team.↓

A sensible first step

Start with
one rule.

Chances are some of your team already use ChatGPT or similar at work. If you don't have a policy yet, this line is a good place to begin.

No client names or matter details go into a personal AI account, and a fee earner reads every AI draft before it leaves the firm.
Free to use at your firm

It is also where our work with a firm begins. Everything else is built on clear rules about what goes into AI and who checks what comes out.

What we set up

AI that knows
your firm.

We write down how your firm works and how it sounds, then connect that to the tools your team uses every day. What AI produces reads like you and follows your rules.

01 / Your firm

How your firm
sounds.

  • How you describe the firm. Your services, the facts you stand behind, how you talk about fees and the words you avoid.
  • How the firm looks. Logo, colours and fonts, so letters, graphics and documents stay on brand.
  • How each person writes. So a draft reads like the person sending it, not like a robot.
02 / Marketing

Your website
and marketing.

  • Your website. Update pages, team profiles and news yourselves, with a preview before anything goes live.
  • Being found on Google. Pages for your services and local areas, regular articles and Google Business Profile posts.
  • Social media. Facebook and Instagram posts written in your voice and published once approved.
03 / Client work

Everyday
client work.

  • Client emails. Replies to new enquiries, matter updates and standard letters, drafted in seconds and checked by a person.
  • Repeat tasks. Ready-made shortcuts for the jobs you do every week, and the know-how to add your own.
04 / Your team

Your team
and your rules.

  • New starters. Each new joiner writes in the firm's style from their first week.
  • Clear rules. An AI policy, who can use what, and a person checking before anything goes out.
  • Someone who owns it. One person at the firm trained to look after it, with written instructions.

New starters

Sounding like the firm
from the start.

Trainees and new joiners take the most time to bring up to speed on how the firm writes. This gives them a head start, within your standards.

  1. 01

    Answer a few questions.

Their role, practice area, how they like to write and anything they must never say.

  2. 02

    Write three sample emails.

Everyday client emails, names removed. The AI reads how they actually write.

  3. 03

    A partner signs it off.

We turn that into a short writing guide within your firm's standards, and a partner approves it before it is used.

Example writing guideMade-up firm

Sam, trainee, residential conveyancing How Sam writes - Short paragraphs, first name after the first reply - Plain English, explains any legal term in one line - Says what happens next and when, every time Never - Promises a completion date - Gives advice outside conveyancing Firm rules - Sign-off: "Kind regards", then full name and role - A fee earner reviews before sending

How it runs

Three months,
alongside your team.

We do the groundwork first, reading your website, social media and example emails, so the first session starts from your firm rather than a blank page.

  1. Week01

    Something
    useful.

You choose one everyday task, such as replying to new enquiries, and we set it up first so the team sees it working on real work.

By the end / One task running, with a person checking each draft.
  2. Month01

    Rules and
    the basics.

Partners agree the AI policy. We write down how the firm sounds and looks, and how each partner writes. Website access set up.

By the end / Your rules agreed and your firm written down.
  3. Month02

    Marketing and
    client work.

Website updates, Google visibility, social posts and client emails, set up and used by your team on real work.

By the end / Your team doing this day to day.
  4. Month03

    Over to
    your team.

New starter setup in place, your team building their own shortcuts, and the person who owns it trained with written instructions.

By the end / Your firm running it without us.

Confidentiality

A person checks
everything.

What we put in place

Clear rules, per tool.

Partners sign off exactly what AI is allowed to do before anything is built.

  • A one-page AI use policy, signed off by the partners
  • What can and cannot go into each tool
  • No client data in the setup unless the firm decides
  • A person reviews everything before it leaves the firm
Where we draw the line

AI helps. Your people decide.

We are honest about what AI can and can't do for a law firm.

  • AI drafts always need a person to read them
  • We don't promise rankings, followers or enquiry numbers
  • Your marketing still has to meet your own SRA duties
  • So every public post is approved before it goes out

Our commitment

We stay until
it works.

If your team isn't using what we set up on its own by the end of month three, we carry on working with you at no extra cost until it is.

What we ask of you

  1. 01One person from the firm comes to every session.
  2. 02We have access to your website and tools in the first week.
  3. 03We agree together, in the first fortnight, what matters most.

Common questions

Before we
get started.

Are we too small for this?

We work with independent firms of roughly 5 to 40 fee earners. Smaller firms often get the most from it, because the same few people run the marketing, the client work and the onboarding.

How much partner time does it take?

Partners approve the AI policy and check that we have described the firm and their own writing correctly. Day to day we work with one person, usually the practice manager or a senior fee earner. Every session is recorded, so anyone who misses one can catch up.

Which AI tools do you use?

We choose and set up business-grade tools that fit how your firm already works, and agree them with you before anything is built. The accounts are in the firm's name, not ours.

What about client confidentiality?

It comes first. The partners decide what can and cannot go into each tool, and nothing client-facing is sent without a person reading it. No client data goes into the setup unless the firm decides it should.

What happens after three months?

Everything we set up stays with the firm, and the person who owns it keeps it running. If you want us to keep helping as new ideas come up, that is an option, not a requirement.

How much does it cost?

A fixed fee for the three months. We'll give you the figure on the call, once we understand your firm's size and what you want from it.
